Collaboration with TATAEngage Volunteer Program

Corporate alliances are a key element to PSYDEH’s seven-resource stream sustainability strategy. Such alliances have come from our own work, as well as via other partnerships with actors like citizen groups and social impact startups.

TATAEngage Volunteer Program & Chezuba Startup

In early 2021, PSYDEH was selected as the only nonprofit in Latin America for the TATAEngage Volunteer Program through our partnership with Chezuba, an Indian platform that links professionals all over the world to virtual volunteer opportunities.

Our project focuses on a PSYDEH organizational promise to be intentionally transparent, where we work to thoughtfully communicate to local and global partners what we do, why, to what end, and with what resources.

Currently, all internal accounting is done by non-financial experts who lack the right expertise and experience to create professional-grade internal financial reporting documents. We know that such instruments help us accurately record keep in the interim and provide us with the formal fiscal transparency documents we need to share with current and future donor-investors. And with more financial transparency, we’ll be able to secure more funds that we will then use to hire the right accountant professionals to continue our progress towards fulfilling this promise.

Win-win partnership

Enter the Chezuba-facilitated TATAEngage Volunteer Program that allows PSYDEH to have the honor of working with Mr. Asis De, of TATA Projects Limited.

Mr. De, based in Ambala City in the state of Haryana in northern India, is exactly the high-quality accounting professional PSYDEH needs. And we have already won meaningful outcomes. In just a few short months, he has provided his expert guidance around how best to track cash flow while delivering top-quality tools for annual financial reporting and organizational budgeting.

Mr. De wins too:

“I am proud to be a volunteer with PSYDEH. The team members of PSYDEH are talented and collaborative. I am thankful to Mr. Damon Taylor & Ms. Mahathi Kumar for their extensive support to complete the project. It gives me immense satisfaction to work with PSYDEH and is an experience that I will cherish and value forever. Thanks to PSYDEH for giving me this wonderful opportunity.”

This collaboration is a huge step forward for PSYDEH, as Damon Taylor, Senior Advisor of PSYDEH states:

“Mr. De’s commitment to excellence, efficient commitment, and willingness to invest his limited time even during weekends has illuminated and empowered. He illuminates by showing us what is possible for future collaborations with multi-national company professionals. Mr. De empowers by showing PSYDEH, the world even, what is possible for an impact-making collaboration linking Mexico and India. Not to mention, it is a joy to work with him, and this short-term partnership has left a lasting impact.”
