“Fruits of Change” Project Leads to More Progress in the Field & Transparency

We celebrated important progress such as:

–  “the embroidery initiative” where PSYDEH strategically invests in women leader artisans’ crafts to help these NGO leaders and budding businesswomen improve understanding of such concepts as quality control and production and pricing.

– Empowering NGO leaders to think strategically using a SWOT analysis exercise for each NGO with the goal of producing by fall 2018 (a) their own respective development policies and (b) their own project plans.  They will use these to participate in PSYDEH’s forthcoming GlobalGiving crowdfunded Seed Fund initiative where PSYDEH uses global-investor funds to empower the NGOs to produce their own projects and thus create the institutional memory and experience they need to sustain themselves.

We also were thrilled to meet women partners’ ongoing demands for transparency around how we use GlobalGiving project funds. Their request for this information is exhibit A of the social impact/women leader growth we help to incubate. We methodically and consistently encourage women partners and their NGOs to own their power as women and leaders and entrepreneur artisans.

Through purposed training and consistent support around rights and responsibilities, including encouraging them to make demands of themselves and PSYDEH and other, we rupture a paradigm. And, in this “rupturing”, we see evidence that we are in fact making impact. And they see this, too. This is good.
