Katie Freund | Head of Strategic Partnerships & Learning
Katie started her journey with PSYDEH as a volunteer in 2017, when she lived and worked in Tenango de Doria, Mexico as a US Fulbright-Garcia Robles Scholar. After two years in Mexico, she spent time in Chicago working as a paralegal on class-action gender discrimination litigation as well as in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she worked as a public middle school math teacher with a specific focus on serving Spanish-speaking students. She returned to Mexico and PSYDEH in July 2023 to lead on Strategic Partnerships and Learning, where she continues to focus on transformative education, gender equity, and economic resilience.Katie graduated summa cum laude from the College of William & Mary, where she studied Economics and Hispanic Studies. She wrote her undergraduate thesis on creative social and economic development initiatives in Latin America.
