DONORS AND FRIENDS
PSYDEH was founded in 2007; yet, we operate like a start-up pursuant to our mid-2014 reorientation of how we work, including pursuing donor investments from Mexican and global friends via seven different income streams:
- Mexican federal government grants (2007- present)
- Individuals and companies gifting money and professional services, e.g., our 2018 R2G partnership with the Dentsu Aegis Network (2014- present)
- National collaborations generating funds and the social capital we need to secure larger financial support/investment (2016- present)
- Private fundraisers in Mexico City, including our planned 2019 embroidery initiative (2016- present)
- National crowdfunding and our global crowdfunding series “Fruits of Change” with US-based partner GlobalGiving (2016- present)
- Multi-year collaborations with private and public institutional donors (2019- ?)
- Incubating a social enterprise to link the regional supply of organic and artisanal goods to national and global demand (2020- ?)

TESTIMONIALS
With strong progress but still much work to do on the fundraising front, donor testimonials (BELOW) and on our Facebook page (English) confirm that our social impact story resonates with people from around the world.
“It’s a great forum when you see so many women and girls (and men) coming from different municipalities and communities, at which the goal is to share cultures, time and ideas without expecting or demanding something in return. This truly is the fruit, the impact, of PSYDEH’s work with women leaders.” – Foreign observer and donor at the late-2017 fourth regional meeting of indigenous women leaders
“It is truly inspiring to learn about the work PYSDEH does in the State of Hidalgo and to know that they are working from the bottom up to achieve a profound change that will spread in the future. Their attention to detail in each one of their projects is an example for any Mexican and international organization that seeks to improve the quality of life of the people they serve.“ – Ms. Maria Catalina Villalpando Paez, GG’s Mexico Partnership Consultant, post 2018 site visit
“We got to see from beginning to end, from workshop to project, the attitudes of [PSYDEH’s indigenous women [collaborators], their optimism, optimism that wouldn’t be there without PSYDEH” – Brooke Bowhay, Dentsu Aegis Network professional and PSYDEH collaborator through their 2018 Route2Good initiative, commenting on her three day site visit in early 2018
