PSYDEH’S Political Rights Work Celebrated by the Mexican Institute Organizing Federal Elections

On December 14-15, PSYDEH was invited by the Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE) to be honored guest speaker at their Mexico City event organized for those Mexican NGOs awarded projects in 2018 through their Convocatoria al Programa Nacional de Organizaciones de la Sociedad Civil para Impulsar la Participación Política de las Mujeres 2017. *PSYDEH was ineligible for 2018 funding due to its 2016-2017 collaboration with INE.

As INE writes in it’s invitation letter (english translation) to PSYDEH, “Given your noteworthy performance [with INE in 2016-2017], and as an extension of our accountability initiative, we invite you to share your experience and impact made in your project with the NGOs selected for [2018 work].” (See left for an image of workshop facilitated in Huehuetla, Hgo.)

There, PSYDEH shared with fellow NGOs myriad better practices learned and impact made, including projecting the below end-of-INE project video released just after the third regional meeting of indigenous women in Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo (right).
