Katie Freund & COMEXUS Mexico Promoting PSYDEH’s GG 2018 Girl Fund Campaign

Katie Freund, PSYDEH’s special projects coordinator and Fulbright ETA grantee working with the Mexican COMEXUS, recently promoted PSYDEH’s participation in the Global Giving (GG) 2018 Girl Fund crowdfunding campaign with a solid FB posting HERE

For PSYDEH, that which Katie states in this post is just more evidence on why our collaboration is win-win, for PSYDEH, our women partners, Katie and COMEXUS:

“I chose to be Fulbright ETA because I wanted the opportunity to live, work, and be a part of a Mexican community. I wanted the opportunity to better understand life in a country that has always been so close but which I know so little about. I wanted to form connections with people who had different backgrounds, spoke different languages, and saw the world differently because I want to work to encourage both countries to not only tolerate or cooperate with each but appreciate and embrace our differences in order to move forward…

… I believe in the kind of bottom-up development [PSYDEH is] supporting, and I thought that I could really help connect these women to resources and support in other parts of Mexico and the world. Working with them has expanded my knowledge of daily life and challenges in rural Mexico, and has opened access to a lot of communities I wouldn’t have gotten to know otherwise.”
