Network Leader Running for President of her Municipality Debates other Candidates on May 17

Marisela Romero Cruz, a Nahautl speaking community organizer with university studies in intercultural tourism based in Acaxochitlán, Hidalgo was program participant in 2013 and joined PSYDEH in 2014 to facilitate workshops and organize women in her municipality. In 2015, she co-led program work with a particular focus on advising on program design and coordinating the Umbrella Network’s activities. She also gave workshops on Cooperative strategic planning and economics and sustainable development.

Ms. Romero is on a leave of absence from PSYDEH work while she heads the PT party (Partido del Trabajo) ticket for the office of President of her municipality. Here, Ms. Romero is seen participating in an exciting debate with other candidates on May 17.
